Introduction to Clay 3D Printing Workshop - September 13 & 14, 2025

In this two day Clay 3D Printing Workshop students will learn the basics of how to design and print a ceramic vessel. 

Day one of this introductory level workshop will begin with a brief overview and history of clay 3d printing, a look at examples of contemporary artists and designers work, discuss digital design methods, resources, and will experiment with an online software called Potterware. This browser-based application we believe is the most intuitive application for entry level play and experimentation, their website also includes a robust and helpful tutorial page. 

NOTE THAT IN ORDER TO SAVE AND PRINT YOUR FILE ON DAY 2 YOU MUST SUBSCRIBE TO POTTERWARE 

On day two we will learn how to prepare the clay, set up and operate a clay 3d printer, print vessels, troubleshoot, and complete projects. 

Each student is required to bring their own laptop (Mac preferred) installed with browsers Google Chrome and/or Mozilla Firefox to the class, NO COMPUTERS WILL BE PROVIDED.  

Students may chose to have their vessels bisque fired by Outpost, and will arrange to pick up their bisque ware at a later date. Clay and tools will be provided.
